IPL 2021: IPL backs Dream 11 as official Fantasy Partner after Vivo turns down.

IPL backs Dream 11 as official Fantasy Partner: Fantasy Sports Company Dream 11 will continue to be the official fantasy partner of IPL 2021. According to the reports, Dream 11 approached Vivo with an INR 250 Crores offer for the title sponsorship of the fourteenth edition of the Indian Premier League. Vivo denied the offer and as per the understanding with BCCI, Dream 11 will remain as the fantasy partner for the upcoming season.

The fantasy sports company Deram11 was the title sponsor of the delayed season of the cash-rich league after Vivo pulled down from the partnership with BCCI. With the huge success of IPL 2020, Dream 11 wanted to continue its run as the title sponsor while the offer they made to Vivo was far below what BCCI is looking for.

Vivo had a deal worth INR 440 Crores per edition with BCCI for the IPL’s title sponsorship while Dream11 paid INR 250 Crores for the same.

BCCI to rope in few more partners for IPL 2021:

According to the sources, BCCI is in talks with GROWW, an online trading and wealth management company. GROWW will be IPL’s fifth official partner. It will be three years agreement and the deal could be worth INR 45 Crores per annum.

Apart from Dream11, Unacademy and CRED have deals with BCCI for the IPL. Tata Motors agreement for three years was completed in 2020 while they might look to extend the deal with IPL.

Also, according to Insidesports, BCCI is in talks with two more brands for the deals for the upcoming season of IPL. If the deal goes well and BCCI ropes-in them, IPL will have a 6th partner soon.

“We are in talks with multiple parties. The interest is phenomenal at this stage and we should have two more official partners before IPL 2021. It is all because of the unprecedented success of IPL 2020’, declared the BCCI official.
