IPL 2021: Jasprit Bumrah to join Mumbai Indians (MI) at the end of March.

IPL 2021: Team India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah will join defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) camp towards the end of the ongoing month. Bumrah recently tied the knot and started a new spell in his life with better half TV Presenter Sanjana Ganeshan.

It is reported that the pacer will join MI after the break somewhere between March 26 – 28. He will instantly undergo quarantine and eventually fly to Chennai for the practice.

The break is turning out to be a blessing in disguise for the Indian pacer. Bumrah missed the last Test match against Australia at Brisbane’s Gaba due to injury concerns. He only featured in two test games against England. He asked BCCI to give him leave due to personal reasons but soon it was revealed that the cricketer is going to be involved in wedding bells.

He is not a part of the ongoing T20I series and is unlikely to be named in the three games ODI series against England in Pune.

All the other players who are part of IPL will directly move to their respective venues in a bubble to bubble movement. Those who will be involved in a bubble to bubble movement will be exempted from the quarantine.

Bumrah’s workload management was a concern for the BCCI as he returned from a lower back injury in 2020. He took a break and marked his comeback in the Indian Premier League 2020. In the Australia tour too Bumrah complaint of an abdomen injury due to which he had to miss the fourth Test match against Australia.

The pacer will be in non-stop action after the IPL 2021. He will be in India’s every possible squad – India vs New Zealand WTC final followed by England tour. India will face South Africa and New Zealand at home for the T20I series post which ICC T20 World Cup will be conducted.
