Major Update from BCCI for IPL 2021 Venues, Dates: The thirteenth edition of IPL which was supposed to be conducted in India was shifted to UAE after Covid-19 hit the world harshly. The upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League is still in doubt as the second wave of coronavirus has hit recently.

As the covid cases are rising in India, the BCCI is unsure about organising the Indian T20 League in the country. According to the BCCI, if the deteriorating situation in the country doesn’t improve quickly, they may have to move the IPL 2021 out of India once again.

BCCI treasurer Arun Dhumal while talking to Insidesports provided a major update on the IPL. Dhumal said the BCCI is still not sure about the conduction of IPL in the country. As the cases are rising rapidly, BCCI is in a dicey situation right now. He said the final decision will be taken once the India-England series comes to an end.

Venues for IPL 2021:

When asked about the whole IPL to be conducted in just one venue, Dhumal said all possibilities will be explored. With not more than two months left for the fourteenth edition of IPL, BCCI will have to take the call soon.

Earlier, it was reported that IPL might take place in Maharashtra only as the state has three grounds to organise the international level games. As the situation of Maharashtra is getter worse day by day after the second wave of coronavirus has hit, BCCI will surely take a look at the call once again.

Meanwhile, to make matters worse for the BCCI, three players (unnamed) who are a part of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021(National ODI Championship) have tested positive for COVID-19. The players who have tested positive for the ungodly virus belong to Maharashtra, Bihar and Himachal Pradesh and are currently kept under isolation.
