IPL 2021 Trade Window: 3 Players Traded by IPL franchise ahead of IPL 2021 mini-auctions.
IPL 2021: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 mini-auctions is around the corner and the franchise has begun the process of trading. Notably, all the franchise has done all the retentions process and will look forward to the mini-auctions.
According to the sources close to BCCI, the IPL 2021 mini-auction is scheduled to take place on either 18th February or 19th February. Also, the deadline for the IPL 2021 trade window is February 04th. BCCI has strictly asked the franchises to complete all trading processes by 04th February.
The IPL franchise has been allowed to carry out a player-for-player deal or all-cash deal depending upon the agreement between the two parties. BCCI has also specified that the trade of the player will not proceed until the consent of the concerned player.
IPL 2021 Trade Window Updates:
- Rajasthan Royals traded Robin Uthappa to Chennai Super Kings (CSK): The inaugural champions become the first franchise to start the trading process. Rajasthan Royals on Thursday confirmed the trade of veteran batsman Robin Uthappa to Chennai Super Kings. The trade was done in an all-cash deal by both the concerned parties. Uthappa has been the orange cap winner of IPL 2014 and in past represented, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challenger Bangalore, Pune Warriors India, Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals.
- Royal Challenger Bangalore acquired Daniel Sams and Harshal Patel: Virat Kohli led Royal Challenger Bangalore took a step ahead to occupy two of the Delhi Capitals (DC) all-rounders. The trade was done in an all-cash deal and Delhi Capitals traded a foreign and a domestic player to RCB. All-rounder Daniel Sams and Harshal Patel were the two cricketers traded by DC.
It is worth noting that in past the trade has turned the fortunes of some franchises. It will be further interesting to watch for the trades between franchises.
In IPL 2020 Delhi Capitals traded their key pacer Trent Boult to Mumbai Indians. Boult for Mumbai has emerged as a key wicket-taker in the powerplays.
