Mumbai Indians: Analysis

Gameplan: The Mumbai Indians who had a terrible start to their campaign with 8 straight losses in their opening games had finally seemed to get back to winning ways with two consecutive wins over Rajasthan and Gujarat. However, their defeat to Kolkata in the previous match has raised concerns once again for the team management and coaching staff.

The bowling unit though did a fantastic job under the leadership of Jasprit Bumrah who took a fantastic fifer with the ball, which wasn’t enough for the team to win the match. The batting lineup seemed extremely weak in the absence of Suryakumar Yadav who was sitting out with an injury as the team failed to chase a mediocre total of 165 and was bundled out for 113.

Dewald Brevis will expectedly be finding his place in the XI tomorrow in place of an out of form Ramandeep Singh.

Possible Playing XI: Ishan Kishan (wk), Rohit Sharma (c), Tilak Varma, Dewald Brewis, Tim David, Kieron Pollard, Daniel Sams, Murugan Ashwin, Kumar Kartikeya, Jasprit Bumrah, Jaydev Unadkat.

Chennai Super Kings: Analysis

Gameplan: With 5 wins in 12 games played so far, the Chennai Super Kings have faint hopes of making it to the playoffs hereon. Anyways, the team has delivered a quality performance in their last game vs DC thereby salvaging some pride for themselves and making things tougher for other sides. The batters did a fantastic job to post a huge total which was later on defended brilliantly by the bowlers.

Moeen Ali coming in handy with his part-time spin was a big positive for the side. Debo Conway with the bat too has been a good find for the side this season so far. The team management will be looking forward to a similar performance in the upcoming match too.

Possible Playing XI: Ruturaj Gaikwad, Devon Conway, Ambati Rayudu, Moeen Ali, MS Dhoni (c & wk), Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo, Maheesh Theekshana, Simarjeet Singh, Mukesh Choudhary.

CSK vs MI: Probable Top Performers

Probable best batsman of the match – Dewald Brevis

With his stylish big hitting abilities a 19-year-old Dewald Brevis has showcased several brilliant performances so far with the bat for his side. The youngster has proved his abilities in regard to batting under tough circumstances and going after bowlers with a brave heart anytime.

His attacking approach will be a good thing to see for the fans in tomorrow’s game for sure and also a threat for the opposition bowlers. He has scored 124 runs in 6 IPL matches so far this season and will be looking forward to adding more to his tally tomorrow.

Probable best bowler of the match – Jasprit Bumrah

With a wonderful 5 wicket haul in the previous match, Jasprit Bumrah did his best to win his side the game. Unfortunately for him, it wasn’t enough as his side went on to lose by a huge margin.

The bowler has finally seemed to click the brilliant form and will be in fine rhythm to deliver another cracking performance with the ball in tomorrow’s game. His abilities to pick wickets and choke runs in any phase of the game will be helpful to his side for sure.
