The Rajasthan Royals is one franchise that has been waning. After winning the first-ever IPL season, the men in pink have found it difficult to get in the grove. Under the leadership of Sanju Samson, their performances have improved. Sanju and his game with the bat have exceptionally improved as well. The RR team always looked over-reliant on Archer. But now the team looks more settled. Here is a look at how the team looks in IPL 2022:
Rajasthan Royals IPL 2022 Squad:

Jos Butler | Keeper/Batter | Anunay Singh | All-Rounder |
Devdutt Padikkal | Batter | Kuldeep Sen | Bowler |
Yashasvi Jaiswal | Batter | Karun Nair | Batter |
Shimron Hetmyer | Batter | Dhruv Jurel | Batter |
Riyan Parag | All-Rounder | Kuldeep Yadav | All-Rounder |

Prasidh Krishna | Fast Bowler | Tejas Baroka | All-Rounder |
Expected Playing XIs:
Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Butler, Devdutt Padikkal, Sanju Samson(c), Rassie Van Der Dussen, Shimron Hetmyer, Ravichandran Ashwin, Navdeep Saini, Trent Boult, Yuzi Chahal, Prasidh Krishna.
Strengths of the Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2022:
The first lineup of the team looks good. Their batting looks good. Butler, Jaiswal, Padikkal, and Samson! The force is too good. Their spin department also looks sorted with two of the most experienced names, Yuzi and Ashwin. Their Indian fast bowling is also lethal. They have two of the quickest bowlers. Prasidh Krishna and Navdeep Saini will be rooting to go.
Weakness of the Rajasthan Royals:
The weakness is to solve the problem between Yashasvi, Butler, and Padikkal. One of the 3 batters will have to bat number 3. The team doesn’t have an evident loophole. They tried to fill all the gaps in the far end of the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. If Navdeep or Prasidh go unfit, they do not have a good Indian backup so, they will have to change their combination and get in an overseas fast bowler.
Opportunities for the Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2022:
Tejas Baroka might not be known but it is his opportunity to learn a lot for the likes of Ashwin and Yuzi. India is always keen to have a left-handed opening batter. With Shikhar Dhawan aging fast and a slot opening up, Devdutt and Yashasvi can give their auditions for the same. For the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia, India will take two spinners with them. Yuzi Chahal will have to have a good IPL to book one slot on that team.
Threats for the Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2022:
Rajasthan Royals have the problem of spoiling their broth. If they had retained Yashasvi and Butler, I feel there was no need to bid on DDP. The team looks settled. It needs to be managed well. The other threat is Navdeep Saini’s chances of leaking runs! Shimron Hetmyer is not in the best of form, so there is a hanging sword on the role of the finisher.
X-Factor Players:
The X-Factor player can be Rassie Van Der Dussen. The teams were skeptical about buying him but RR made a steal by picking him at base price. Rassie is an exceptional batter. He is too good against spin. Prasidh Krishna and his express pace can also become the talk of the town.
