For the very first time in IPL History, There are many more injuries to players in different teams, and In response to this, The Franchise has started to replace the injured players. Today Delhi capitals have announced that Abhishek Porel to replace Rishabh Pant in this season of IPL.

The 16th Edition of TATA IPL 2023 Will start on 31 March 2023 between GT and CSK. The Franchise kept filling the gaps before the start of this season. The First match of Delhi capitals is with Lucknow super giants on April 2023.

Who is Abhishek Porel, and What is his role in the team?

Abhishek portal is a left-handed wicketkeeper-batsman who plays for Bengal in domestic cricket. Abhishek’s impressive performance in Ranji Trophy led the Delhi capitals scout to look at him. After Having a long Chat and thinking, DC’s scout has decided Abhishek to replace Rishabh Pant.

Abhishek has played domestic T20I and scored only 22 runs with a strike rate of 100 and an average of 11.00. He is a good wicketkeeper, as he has taken 58 catches in first-class cricket in just 16 matches.

On 30 December 2022, Rishabn pant had a bad accident while going home. This led to a severe injury to Rishabh Pant, and from that time, concern arose about his availability to the team for IPL 2023.

Abhishek is too left-handed wicketkeeper-batsman, so this would be like to like change for Delhi capitals. He is Young and also he has good energy in himself.
