IPL 2023 Auction: The mini-auction for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 is set to take place at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Kochi in a few hours. A total of 405 players will go under the auction to fill the gap of remaining slots across the ten IPL teams.
Each franchise’s squad can include a maximum of 25 players. However, a few franchises have kept the players who make up their core. A total of 87 slots (30 overseas players) are thus available for the 10 teams.
Sam Curran of England, who was named “Player of the Tournament” in the recently concluded T20 World Cup, and Ben Stokes are in the highest base price range of Rs 2 crore. The highest reserve price is Rs 2 crore, as is usual, and 19 foreign participants have chosen to place their bets in this range. With a starting bid of Rs 1.5 crore, there are 11 players in total on the auction list. Manish Pandey and Mayank Agarwal are the two Indian cricketers on the list of 20 with a base price of Rs 1 crore.
