Gujarat Titans have been an example to other sides in the 2022 season of the IPL. The franchise was newly added to the tournament this season itself and thus making its debut admit quality teams which have already developed a lot of experience and have already cemented their positions in the league right since the first season, it wasn’t going to be an easy task for Gujarat to achieve their objective anyways.
In spite of not being assessed highly by the majority of experts and fans in general, the team shocked the entire cricketing world by winning the title in their first season in the prestigious league. The team managed to overcome all the tough circumstances and displayed tremendously good performance throughout the season and outplayed many other sides which had built up a lot more seemingly stronger squads ahead of the season during the mega auctions.
In a season where champion sides like CSK and MI failed to deliver any quality performances, Gujarat Titans who had come into the season with a comparatively ordinary-looking squad managed to defeat big teams one after the other. The team management did excellently well in determining the most perfect combination of players who could rock the stage and help their side achieve victories against the odds.
The new signings of players during the mega auction which includes David Miller, Rashid Khan, Shubhman Gill and many others proved to be highly fruitful for the side as it marched to glory with ease. The newly appointed captain of the side, Hardik Pandya didn’t disappoint the fans and the coaching staff as he lead his side brilliantly well in all aspects. Be it batting, bowling or any other department of the game, the team has been top-notch all throughout the season.
All the things seemed to go their way as the team too never provided the opposition with any chances of taking a strong grip on the match. All these factors combinedly helped the team lift the trophy in their maiden season in the IPL.
Gujarat Titans IPL 2023 Predictions
The Gujarat Titans have been one of those sides which have looked absolutely flawless in the IPL 2022. The team seemed to be in total rhythm and looked to be in zero trouble throughout the entire season. None of their departments failed in any manner which lead to the overall upliftment of the team’s performances and morale.
It was owing to these incredibly good performances in the IPL 2022 that shall give the management enough courage and confidence to not make many changes to the squad ahead of the next season. However, the only possible thing which the team seems to be in need of is a proper batsman at no.3 who can steer the innings with proper pace in all situations.
The idea of using several batsmen at the no.3 position didn’t really work for Gujarat as the majority of them failed to deliver the performances as per the expectations. Hence a proper attacking batsman at the top of the order would be the target for Gujarat’s management during the mini auction ahead of the IPL 2022. If all the plans go in their favour then the side will surely be all set to lift their second consecutive IPL title in 2023.
