IPL 2023 Points Table, Orange Cap, Purple Cap: Rajasthan Royals (RR) returned to winning ways following three consecutive defeats as they thumped Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by nine wickets at Sawai Man Singh Stadium on 11th May. Sanju Samson and Co won the fixture by a long margin with 6.5 overs remaining and took a leap over Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2023 Points Table.

Young Yashasvi Jaiswal once again rose to the occasion and proved why he is termed as ‘generational talent.’ It was a perfect night tailor-made for Yashasvi Jaiswal to shine as he smoked everyone who came to bowl. He inked his name in the history books by slamming the fastest half-century in the IPL in just 13 deliveries.

On top of that, Jaiswal extended his sublime innings and remained unbeaten at a 98-run score and struck the winning blow for Rajasthan Royals in 13.1 over. The young opener was aided by skipper Sanju Samson, at the other end, who remained unbeaten at 48 runs in 29 deliveries.

RR chased down the modest total of 149 runs in just 13.1 overs and accumulated two points and a healthy net run rate ahead of the IPL 2023 Playoffs.

Earlier in the game, KKR scored 149 runs as Venkatesh Iyer top scored with a 42-ball 57-run innings. Besides him, none of the KKR batters could show resistance to the loaded Rajasthan bowling unit.

The openers failed to provide a rampaging start to the innings. Skipper Nitish Rana held his end for a bit but was soon blown away by Yuzvendra Chahal. Andre Russell once again looked insignificant as he continued his pale patch. Even poster boy, Rinku Singh had no answers to the probe opened by RR.
