IPL 2023 Points Table Updated on 28th April 2023, Orange Cap, Purple Cap List after RR vs CSK

IPL 2023 Points Table Updated: Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals (RR) made 2 in 2 as they faced Chennai Super Kings (CSK) second time in the ongoing Tata IPL 2023. Rajasthan defeated Chennai by 32 runs at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium to reach the top of the IPL 2023 Points Table.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) were spot on with their plans, strategies and executions against CSK. Right from reading the surface and implementing the ideas, RR had got better off CSK by a mile.

Opting to bat first in their home ground, RR posted a massive total of 202 runs, which is an above-par score at this venue. Yashasvi Jaiswal was outstanding as he timed most of the deliveries whereas the other batters had a hard time doing that. Jaiswal scored 43-ball 77 and was a difference in the entire game.

For RR to finish things off in style against CSK, Dhruv Jurel scored a quickfire 15-ball 34 while Devdutt Padikkal remained unbeaten at 13-ball 27.

In response to 202 runs total, CSK’s kickstart was conservative with both Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad struggling to get hold of the surface. Soon, RR got their first wicket in the form of Devon Conway in the sixth over of the innings.

Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 47 runs before getting back to the dugout while Shivam Dube played a handy innings of 33-ball 55. In the end, the total became far-fetched for the CSK as they fell 32 runs short and lost the game.
