IPL 2023: RCB defeated RR by a huge margin of 112 runs and made their net run rate positive. Faf and Maxwell played well and scored 55 and 54 runs, respectively, whereas Anuj Rawat played an impactful inning of 29 runs in 11 balls and led RCB to 171 runs on the scoreboard.
Rajasthan Royals batted very poorly in this match as they got all out in just 10.3 overs. Shimron Hetmyer scored 35 runs in 19 balls with four sixes, but his inning was not enough to win this match. From the bowling side, Km Asif and Adam Zampa got two wickets.
RR batting Totally collapsed:
In the Second Inning, Rajasthan Royals was losing the wickets regularly. Now they made themselves in trouble as the playoffs race is now very intense. Simron Hetmyer was trying to keep the run difference less but lost his wicket by scoring 35 runs. Rajasthan's batting collapsed as their batsmen lost the wicket by playing the wrong shots.
Parnell took three wickets:
In this match, RCB management made some changes in the bowling department, and these changes gave good results as RCB bowlers bowled a very good spell and didn?t lead RR batters to get into the game.
Wayne Parnell came in the playing 11 in place of Hazlewood and took three wickets, whereas Bracewell and Karn Sharma have taken two wickets each. Mohd. Siraj and Glenn Maxwell have taken 1-1, respectively.
RCB scored 171 runs while batting first:
In the First Inning, Bangalore came to bat, and Faf du Plessis and Virat started the inning. Both looks in good intent, but Virat lost his wicket in the 7th over and scored 18 runs in 19 balls. Once again, Faf and Maxwell made a brilliant partnership of 69 runs. Both were playing good shots and trying to rotate the strike so that spinners could not dominate on this slow wicket.
Faf du Plessis has scored 55 runs with three fours and two sixes, whereas Maxwell has scored 54 runs with five fours and three sixes. RCB made some changes in the middle order by including Michael Bracewell in the playing 11, but he scored 9* runs. In the end, Anuj Rawat played some impressive shots and scored 29 runs with a strike rate of 263.64.
Decent performance by RR?s bowler:
Rajasthan Royals bowlers bowled well in the middle overs, but in the last few overs, they gave lots of runs. Adam Zampa and KM Asif have taken two wickets each, whereas Sandeep Sharma has taken only one wicket.
