IPL 2023: The season sixteen of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is just around the corner and the social media buzz has begun to grow. The BCCI, a few days ago, released the schedule for the IPL 2023, which will have 70 league stage games and four playoff matches in a span of 52 days. Now as the schedule for all 10 IPL teams is out, lets discuss a bit about the strongest playing11. Down below is Royal Challengers Bangalore strongest playing11 in IPL 2023.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are set to kickstart their IPL 2023 journey with a contest against Mumbai Indians (MI) at their home ground, M Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 2nd (Sunday).
RCB had a pretty decent auction for the IPL 2023 wherein they managed to buy seven players with the small purse they had. England batter Will Jacks became their most lucrative purchase of the season for INR 3.2 Crores. Besides Will Jacks, RCB picked up three pacers including England’s Reece Topley.
Interestingly, Royal Challengers Bangalore had retained its core and most of its players from IPL 2022 squad. The franchise had a splendid show last year in IPL 2022. Although they couldn’t survive until the finals of the tournament, their near-fluent performance till the playoffs will give them confidence to go one step beyond and fetch their maiden glory in the coming edition of the IPL.
In the last season, Royal Challengers Bangalore had a few bumps in their way to the finals, one of which was their powerplay bowling. The ace pacer of the unit, Mohammad Siraj was in a pale patch and it had led the franchise to suffer. Also, the form of Virat Kohli was also a concern for the team. However, both issues seems to be resolved now as Siraj is in a great form oflate while Kohli has returned back to his sublime touch in the white-ball games and has even slammed his maiden T20I century.
Now lets take a peek at the Royal Challengers Bangalore Strongest Playing11, RCB Playing11 and Squad in IPL 2023.
Royal Challengers Bangalore Strongest Playing11
IPL 2023 will again see skipper Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli opening the innings for Royal Challengers Bangalore. The two batters would build a solid foundation for the innings ahead. Rajat Patidar looked brilliant last season after coming as a replacement in the team midway through the season. Patidar can further build onto the start provided by the openers.
Patidar will be followed by explosive Glenn Maxwell and Mahipal Lomror who will have the license to have a go at bowlers right from the start. The two aforementioned batters will be followed by finisher in Dinesh Karthik, who was simply unbelievable last season. Karthik was one of the key highlights for RCB and the franchise will expect him to translate his performance this year as well.
The all-rounders include Wanindu Hasaranga and Shahbaz Ahmed, who can play a handy knock when required. Even Harshal Patel is capable of smacking a couple of maximums to accelerate the innings score in the last few overs.
The bowling department will be led by Mohamamd Siraj with Josh Hazlewood and Harshal Patel as his two vital partners.
