The Sunrisers Hyderabad were one of the sides who had an IPL to forget this year in 2022. The side came into this edition of the IPL with lots of hopes and aspirations to make a change in their fortunes, at last, this year. The management made a considerable amount of changes in the squad ahead of the IPL 2022 in the mega auctions as they included several quality players both Indian and foreign, thereby giving it their all to strengthen the squad.
The team looked stronger than ever especially due to the foreign powerhouse of players that it comprised of then. Much to everyone’s surprise, the team couldn’t really make any sort of impact that was expected of them. The key players including the captain Kane Williamson failed to live up to their worth as the team’s performances remained highly inconsistent as a whole which lead to their overall downfall.
The team though looked settled midway during the season to make it to the top 4, the irregular failures in important must-win games let them down all the time. As a result of this, the team barely managed an 8th position finish in the points table by the end of the league stages.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad though failed to carry out the majority of its objectives miserably this season, the team will be hoping to initiate a turnaround in the upcoming season. The management will be looking forward to drawing some satisfaction from the little number of positives that the side has been able to achieve in the previous season.
A handful of players like Rahul Tripathi, Priyam Garg, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar showing good rhythm must be a source of great relief to the coaching staff and management ahead of IPL 2023. Another major task for the side will be to fill up the few gaps that were exposed during this season.
For this purpose, the management will be looking for a proper top-order batsman and also a good enough finisher lower down the order.in the mini auction ahead of the IPL 2023. All the plans, if they go as per the expectations of the Sunrisers the following year, are surely going to help them achieve desirable results before any other team.
