Chennai Super Kings have been heavyweights in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Captained by MS Dhoni, the team has won four titles in the league and have qualified for the playoffs record 14 times in 16 editions. They are the second most successful team in the tournament and have a great track record against almost every team.

Although Chennai Super Kings have a great track record in the league against every team but on occasion many teams have got better off them. There have been many instances when they were defeated by teams in both the league games and we will take a look at teams who have achieved the fest against them.
Rajasthan Royals was the first team to beat Chennai Super Kings in both league games. They achieved the feat in the inaugural edition of the league in 2008. They also won the title that year by beating CSK in the league.

Now defunct Deccan Charges, who won IPL in 2009, also defeated Chennai Super Kings twice in the season in 2010. Before Kings XI Punjab (Punjab Kings) achieved the feat in the 5th edition of the league in 2012. CSK suffered two losses against Mumbai Indians in the same year.
Mumbai Indians yet again had better off them in 2013 as they thumped them twice that season and also went on to win the title that season. Punjab Kings yet again thumped CSK twice in the season in 2024. Before Mumbai did it again in 2019.
Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals 2020 defeated Chennai Super Kings before PBKS and Gujarat Titans were on the top against them in 2022. In the ongoing IPL 2023, so far RR have achieved the feat.
