IPL 2024, KKR vs SRH: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) won the match no.3 of TATA IPL 2024 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Eden Gardens in Kolkata by 4 runs. KKR played a dominating cricket in their first match of the tournament however, SRH too played well but they failed to make partnerships to chase a massive target of 209 runs. The Player of the match was Andre Russell, who played a superb inning of 64 runs in just 25 balls.

Kolkata Knight Riders started the TATA IPL 2024 with a victory. KKR’s both batting and bowling department played wonderful and collective cricket which led them to register their first victory of IPL 2024. It is expected that KKR will continue the same momentum throughout the tournament.

SRH could have played good cricket, especially with bat but they lost a couple of wickets in the middle overs which led them to lose their first match of TATA IPL 2024. However, Heinrich Klaasen Played a stormy inning of 63 runs in 29 balls whereas T. Natarajan took three wickets with the ball.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batted first in the match no.3 of TATA IPL 2024 and they started well but later on, SRH dominated the game and took back-to-back wickets. However, Phil Salt and Ramandeep Singh made a crucial partnership of 54 runs for the fifth wicket. Both the players batted well and shifted the game’s momentum towards KKR.

Phil Salt and Ramandeep Singh scored 54 and 35 runs, respectively. But, the climax was very pleasing as Andre Russell showed his muscle power and scored 64 runs in just 25 balls with 3 fours and 7 sixes whereas Rinku Singh played a small impactful inning of 23 runs in 15 balls.

Russell’s phenomenal inning of 64 runs led Kolkata Knight Riders to the massive target of 208 runs in the 20 overs with a loss of seven wickets. From SRH’s bowling department, T. Natarajan took three wickets whereas Mayan Markande and Skipper Pat Cummins took two and one wicket, respectively.

While chasing the target, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) had a good start as they scored 60+ runs in the powerplay but they lost a couple of wickets in the middle overs, which put them on the back-foot. However, Heinrich Klaasen played an amazing inning of 63 runs in 29 balls with 8 sixes and they almost won the match but failed to score 13 runs in the last over.

SRH failed to perform with the bat but Heinrich Klaasen played an impressive knock however they weren’t able to chase the massive target of 209 runs. From KKR’s bowling department, Harshit Rana took three wickets whereas Andre Russell took two wickets.
