The preparations for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 are in full flow. Even though the tournament is far away from now, but it’s keeping everyone involved in it excited. The tournament will take place in March or April next year and it’ll be ideal preparation for T20 World Cup 2024
All the franchises have revealed their list of released and retained players and now it’s time for the auction. The event will take place in Dubai on 19th December. The trade window is still open and will close on 12th December. Before that teams can trade players.
So far few trades have be been done with Hardik Pandya moving to Mumbai Indians being the biggest. The Indian all-rounder moved to his old franchise in all cash trade and will be getting 15 crores. Now all the attention turns to the auction and some of the big names have registered for the event.
A total of 333 cricketers have registered for the auction. Out of those 214 players in the list are Indians and 119 are overseas. 2 players are also from the associate nation. Out of all the players, 116 are capped players, 215 are uncapped players.
Out of 333 cricketers, only 77 players will be acquired as only this many slots are available. It’s fair to say that IPL 2024 auction will be interesting to see. Many teams have to fill up their balance and some of the key players will be going under the hammer.
