RCB vs DC Match Preview
Practically, the road of Playoffs for RCB is crushed already. The maximum they can reach is up to 14 points, which is nowhere near the qualification mark. Virat Kohli said that they are not looking at the points table at the moment and just want to play good cricket, but this contest is all it takes for their fortune in the TATA IPL 2024.
They will clash against a side that will miss their regular skipper due to a match ban following continuous slow overrate matches. Delhi Capitals are in a better condition than RCB as they have won 6 out of 12. They can reach 16 points if they take down RCB and LSG in their last fixture.
Delhi Capitals will be led by Axar Patel in the match against RCB. If we look at the history, RCB has been dominating DC in the total 30 matches played between them with 18 wins. DC managed to win 11 and one ended without any result.
An important match and with the clouds over the head, pride will be on the line for both teams as the stage is set at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

The scenarios for both sides are full of all but “If”. Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, and Sunrisers Hyderabad are the three sides that are almost sure to qualify and the spot 4 is left with CSK, DC, LSG, and RCB fighting.
RCB Qualification Scenario
First talking about RCB, they have played 12 matches till now and have won 5 and are left with two more to play; one against Delhi Capitals (today) and the second against Chennai Super Kings. They have to win both and expect that RR defeats CSK in the day match today. Also, they need either DC or MI or both to defeat LSG.
RCB have no threat from GT as they are very low on NRR. Bangalore are currently in 7th position in the points table and hold a good NRR.
- RCB need to defeat DC today
- RCB need to defeat CSK on 18th May
- RR to beat CSK today
- DC, MI to defeat LSG with a small margin.
DC Qualification Scenario
The Capitals’ path is clear and not very much dependent on others. They need to win both their remaining games with good margins to take care of their NRR and they will be in if they surpass the NRR of CSK.
- DC need to defeat RCB today
- DC need to defeat LSG on 14 May
- RCB or RR to defeat CSK
