In what has been the latest development, as per reports in Cricbuzz, it is learned that Jasprit Bumrah is back at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. The pacer will be undergoing his fitness test to see if he will be playing in IPL 2025.

Jasprit Bumrah, who suffered a back injury during the IPL 2025, was at the NCA more than a week ago. However, during that visit, he experienced pain and discomfort while bowling. Following that, he was sent back and was advised to do some exercises.

Jasprit Bumrah was then asked to return to NCA for the assessment ahead of the IPL 2025. The reports claimed that there is a lot of positivity around his fitness this time, and there are chances that he will be available for Mumbai Indians in the upcoming edition of the league.

It is learned that if Jasprit Bumrah feels comfortable while bowling and doesn't experience any pain or discomfort, he will get clearance from the medical team to play IPL 2025. The complete development around his injury will be known in the coming days.

Jasprit Bumrah likely to take at least another week before he can be considered fit for an IPL match

The reports further added that Jasprit Bumrah is likely to take at least another week before he can be considered fit for an IPL match. Thus, it means that the fast bowler will be missing the first few games of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 for Mumbai Indians.

Jasprit Bumrah has been out of action since January. He faced back injury during the last match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 and then ruled out of the England ODIs as well as the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. It was expected that he would be available from the first game of IPL.

But that wasn't the case as Jasprit Bumrah will be missing the opening fixtures against Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans. There are chances that he might make a comeback in Mumbai Indians' home game against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium.
