In what has been the latest development, as per the reports in Times of India, it is learned that KL Rahul is all set to bat in the middle order in the IPL 2025. The 18th edition of the league is all set to begin on Friday (2nd March). 

KL Rahul will be playing for Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2025. The India batter was acquired by the franchise for INR 14 crore. The batter is yet to join the team as he enjoying his time off after the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. He reportedly will be linking up the rest of the squad this week. 

KL Rahul, who has opened for the majority of his career in the IPL, will be given a new role in the IPL 2025. The reports claimed that Delhi Capitals management has been discussing about this since they began their preparations. The decision comes in the interest of the team. 

Delhi Capitals has a lot of options at the top in Jake Fraser-Mcgurk, Faf du Plessis, and Abishek Portal. But they lack experience in the middle order, especially after Harry Brook pulled out of the IPL 2025. Hence, to have some experience in the middle order, KL Rahul will be batting in the middle. 

DC management believes that KL Rahul, Tristan Stubbs and Axar Patel can control things in the middle order in IPL 2025

The Delhi Capitals management is of the opinion that Jake Fraser-Mcgurk, Faf du Plessis, Abishek Poral will be handling the to order. While the likes of KL Rahul, Tristan Stubbs and Axar Patel can control things in the middle order before the death overs. 

KL Rahul, who often has sacrificed his batting positions for the team, is yet again expected to do the same. The batter had a great outing for India in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 as he scored vital runs for the team in the middle order and helped them win. 

KL Rahul has been a beast in the IPL for the last few years. The keeper-batter recently expressed his desire to make a comeback in the Indian T20I Team. Hence, it will be a great platform and opportunity for him to set the stage on fire and make his team win.
