IPL 2025 Orange Cap, Purple Cap Updated Lists After Eliminator Match GT vs MI
After the thrilling Eliminator clash between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Mumbai Indians (MI), the Orange Cap and Purple Cap lists of IPL 2025 have been updated. Several star players moved up the charts in both the batting and bowling rankings following this high-scoring match in Mullanpur.
GT vs MI Eliminator Match Summary
Mumbai Indians won the toss and chose to bat first. They started with an explosive opening partnership between Rohit Sharma and Jonny Bairstow. Rohit made a brilliant 81 off 50 balls, while Bairstow smashed 47 off 22 on his debut for MI. With strong support from Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, and Hardik Pandya, MI posted a massive total of 228 – the second-highest in IPL playoff history.
In reply, Gujarat Titans lost Shubman Gill early. However, Sai Sudharsan and Kusal Mendis kept GT in the game with a solid partnership. Sudharsan played well again but fell at a crucial time. He is followed by Mumbai’s Suryakumar Yadav, who has jumped to second place with 673 runs thanks to another handy contribution in the Eliminator. Shubman Gill holds third place with 650 runs.
