IPL 2025 Orange Cap, Purple Cap Updated Lists After Qualifier 1

The race for the Orange Cap and Purple Cap in IPL 2025 is heating up as the tournament reaches its final stages. After Qualifier 1, both the batting and bowling leaderboards have seen some interesting changes. Here's the latest update on the top run-scorers and wicket-takers of the season so far.

In Qualifier 1, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) stormed into the IPL final for the first time since 2016 with a dominating win over Punjab Kings (PBKS). RCB's fast bowlers were on fire, using the bounce and movement of the pitch to bowl PBKS out for just 101.

Suyash Sharma also played a key role with his leg-spin, picking up three wickets as the PBKS batters struggled to read his wrong'uns. Despite the tough surface, Phil Salt came out blazing, smashing a 23-ball fifty to finish the chase inside ten overs and seal a comfortable victory for RCB.

After this match, Sai Sudharsan continues to hold the Orange Cap with 679 runs in 14 matches at an average of 52.23 and a strike rate of 155.38. He is closely followed by Shubman Gill (649 runs) and Suryakumar Yadav (640 runs), both enjoying excellent seasons.
