IPL 2025: Quinton de Kock throws away his helmet to take catch of Riyan Parag during RR vs KKR (Watch video)
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) keeper-batter Quinton de Kock came up with a unique way to take the catch in the ongoing game against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The match between the two teams is taking place at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.
Quinton de Kock came up with a brilliant effort behind the stumps to remove Riyan Parag. The Rajasthan Royals batter, who is playing in his home ground, didn't have the kind of outing he would've wanted as he was back in the hut, thanks to the courtesy of Varun Chakravarthy.
Varun Chakravarthy bowled a length delivery outside off, to which Riyan Parag got forward to loft. He didn't get the proper connection and ended up hitting it from the toe-end of the bat. The ball went straight up and keeper Quinton de Kock called for it.
But what caught the attention of many was Quinton de Kock's way of taking the catch. The Kolkata Knight Riders keeper-batter removed his helmet and threw it. He went near the pitch area and ended up taking a skier to send the Rajasthan Royals skipper packing.

Riyan Parag failed to convert the start that he had as he was back in the hut for just 25 runs. The right-hander batted with a strike rate of 166 and also slammed three boundaries during his stay at the crease against Kolkata Knight Riders.
Rajasthan Royals overall didn't have a great outing with the bat. Dhruv Jurel was the top run-getter for the team with his innings of 33 runs, while the rest of the batters failed to get past the 30-run mark with the bat.Yashasvi Jaiswal also played an innings of 29 runs.
Jofra Archer, in the end, hit some blow,s, and thanks to that, Rajasthan Royals ended up posting 151 runs on the board. For Kolkata Knight Riders, Varun Chakravarthy was the pick of the bowlers with his figures of 2/17. Vaibhav Arora, Harshit Rana and Moeen Ali also picked two wickets each.
