The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is all set to begin from Saturday (March 22). As per the reports in Cricbuzz, it is learned that defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will be taking on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the tournament opener at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
The second day of the IPL 2025, which will be Sunday will be a double header. Sunrisers Hyderabad will be locking horns with Rajasthan Royals at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal on March 23. This will be an afternoon game, while the rest of the squad is yet to be announced.
Final of the IPL 2025 will be taking place on May 25 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata
The reports claimed that BCCI will be announcing the full schedule of the IPL 2025 soon. However, some of the key dates of the tournament have been revealed. It is learned that the final will be taking place on Sunday, May 25, at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Lucknow, Mullanpur, Delhi, Jaipur Kolkata and Hyderabad will be the 10 main centres for the IPL 2025. Along with these, Guwahati and Dharamsala will be hosting games of Rajasthan Royals and Punjabi Kings, respectively, in the IPL 2025.
Rajasthan Royals will be taking on Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings in Guwahati on March 26 and 30. While Punjab Kings will be playing three games in Dharamsala. The Punjab-based team played two games here during the last season of the IPL.
The Qualifier 1 of the IPL 2025, along with Eliminator, will be played in Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. While Qualifier 2, along with the final, is scheduled to take place at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru recently announced their skipper for the IPL 2025. Rajat Patidar will be leading the team while Kolkata Knight Riders are yet to announce their skipper. It remains to be seen who will be the leading defending Champions in the next edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
