IPL 2025: Will Jacks or Ryan Rickelton? Rohit Sharma's opening partner at Mumbai Indians revealed by Hardik Pandya
Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya opened up about who will be Rohit Sharma's opening partner in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. He mentioned that they haven't decided on that and will be soon taking the call.
Mumbai Indians have one of the strongest batting cores in the IPL 2025. They have a great firepower in their ranks and it's fair to say that if they play well, they will be strong contenders to win the league. From Rohit Sharma to Naman Dhir, the franchise is packed with superstars.
One of the tough decisions that Mumbai Indians will have to take will be about the opening partner of Rohit Sharma. While the middle order speaks for itself, the opening combination stays a talking point ahead of the IPL 2025.

Mumbai Indians has two options Ryan Rickelton and Will Jacks. Both the batters have been in terrific touch with the bat in International Cricket as well as leagues across the globe. However, it remains to be seen who will be starting in the XI.
Ahead of the IPL 2025, skipper Hardik Pandya was asked about the same and he didn't come up with the response the fans expected. He said that they would take the call depending on the conditions. Speaking to reporters, he said:
"We will take a call depending on what the team needs."
Hardik Pandya also shared the strategy for the IPL 2025. He spoke about the message that he passed to his teammates, adding that he wants them to do the process right and enjoy it. He said:
"Just play good cricket. Being with each other at the same point in time. Doing the processes right. Go and execute. With this group, considering the talent, we will look ahead to enjoy the games."
Mumbai Indians will be without the services of Hardik Pandya for the first game. The all-rounder will be serving the ban of last year in the first match. The five-time champions will open their campaign against Chennai Super Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday (23rd March).
