IPL Breaking: Ben Stokes will not bowl in the first few matches for Chennai Super Kings. There are now just two days until the IPL season begins. Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titan will be face to face in the very first match, in such a situation, the bad news is coming out from the Chennai camp. Stokes has a left knee injury and is not bowling at the moment, if his fitness improves, he could be seen bowling in later matches.

For Rs 16.25 crores, Chennai Super Kings purchased Stokes in the mini-auction. In preparation for the Ashes, he had a cortisone shot in his left knee. During England’s tour to New Zealand, the 31-year-old Stokes was not at his peak fitness, and he only bowled two overs in the second Test in Wellington.

What did CSK coach Michael Hussey say about Stokes’ injury?

“Stokes is equipped to bat right away and is ready to go. It won’t be long before his bowling is decided. He received an injection in his knee, I think he is expected to win.” I don’t do much magic in the first few matches of a tournament or a few weeks. I’m not completely sure. But hopefully, we can get him further in the tournament.”
