Vivo IPL 2021 Phase 2: IPL Franchise all set to travel to the UAE to finalize the logistics.
Vivo IPL 2021 Phase 2: In a new development, all the officials of eight IPL franchises have zeroed on to travel to the UAE this month to wrap the logistics part of the game. Phase 2 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 is confirmed to begin on 19th September with the window hosting all the remaining 31 games.
Earlier, the league was midway hanged on 4th May following the dreaded virus’s entrance in the biosecure bubbles of various franchises.
However, to begin a new phase, the franchise officials have planned a trip to the UAE, the host nation for the remainder of the IPL 2021, and close all the booking related issues.
It is noteworthy that the booking of hotels and logistics in the UAE will be a bit tricky this time due to the relaxation provided by the UAE government and the approaching Dubai Expo 2021.
One of the officials of the IPL franchise informed they are waiting for confirmation from the board before they head to the UAE.
“We are looking at heading to the UAE post-July 6 once we get the go-ahead from the BCCI and the government so that we can seal the logistical deals. Unlike last year, bulk bookings won’t be as easy this year as you will have people travelling into the country and that makes the workaround bio-bubbles all the more critical,” the official explained.
“We have sent a request to the board to travel to the UAE, but we have been asked to wait until we get approval. Surely, all the franchises had a good time last time, but this time around we want things to be better and more organised and that is the reason why we want to be present there to finalise the hotels and all the deals,” said the franchise official.
One of the franchise officials further stated that they are looking to have some change in the hotels this time.

“We are looking at a new option and if we get a good deal, we will be looking to close the deal at the earliest. You need the hotel staff and the travel staff like drivers to also undergo quarantine and RT-PCR tests before entering the bio-bubble. So, the earlier we can zero in on the logistics, the better for all of us,” the official told ANI.
