IPL Points Table 2025 Updated After RR vs CSK on 31-March
IPL Points Table 2025: It was a positive start for CSK in IPL 2025 but not anymore as they have lost two matches after that win against MI. CSK lost a close match against Rajasthan Royals on Sunday by just 6 runs. In the first encounter of the Super Sunday, DC crushed SRH in an intense match. Here are the latest updated IPL points Table 2025, along with other stats for IPL 2025.
In the day match between Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad at Vizag, it was Delhi Capitals who prevailed. Batting first, SRH got a slippery start. They were three down under 3 overs, still, Travis Head got going, and they scored 58 runs in the powerplay. Aniket Verma became the hero for SRH when they were on the brink of collapse. With a five-fer from Mitchell SRH were bundled out for 163 and this was not going to be enough against the deep batting lineup of Delhi Capitals.
Hyderabad were found sloppy on the field as well. They dropped a couple of catches which drove Delhi Capitals to score 52 runs in the powerplay without losing a wicket. JFM, Faf, and Rahul lost their wicket later in the chase trying to dominate bowlers and this led DC to a dominating position. Porel and Stubbs assured no further damage and led DC to a 7-wicket win in their second game.
The second match of the day was played between Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings at Barsapara Stadium, Guwahati. It is framed as homeground of Rajasthan Royals but it was a sea of yellow at the stadium. Batting first Rajasthan Royals put forth a challenging total of 182. Nitish Rana was the man who unleashed his 81-run innings at a strike rate of 225. His innings along with some top-order contributions proved to be enough for CSK.
It was a lazy approach from CSK on the chase. None of the batters (who faced more than 5 balls) had a strike rate of more than 150 except Shivam Dube who got 18 from 10 balls. As a result, they needed 20 runs from the last over and they could only manage to score 13. RR defeated CSK by 6 runs at the end and registered their first win of the season.
