IPL 2022: IPL teams that can buy David Warner in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction.

IPL 2022: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Saturday sacked Australian opening batsman David Warner from the captaincy and handed the reins to Kiwi Kane Williamson for the remainder of the Indian T20 League. Although the fortunes of the team remained the same as Rajasthan Royals (RR) crushed SRH by 55 runs in the last game.

There is no official reason or statement around why the decision was taken, however, according to the reports, there was some rift going on between David Warner and Sunrisers Hyderabad management due to which he was removed from the role.

In the post-match presentation after the game against Delhi Capitals (DC), Warner mentioned that it was not his decision to bench Manish Pandey but the franchise wanted this. Warner also struggled to score quick runs this season. He amassed 193 runs in the 6 games for SRH with a strike rate of 110.

After all this, it certainly looks that the SRH might leave David Warner out in the Mega Auction 2022. Although Warner with his impressive stats in the IPL history will definitely find buyers and here we will discuss the potential franchise that could bid for him.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR):

The two times champion side, KKR struggled with its openers in the Vivo IPL 2021. With ample opportunities upfront, opener Shubman Gill and Nitish Rana failed to play a big role in the team and lost early wickets.

KKR head coach Brendon McCullam in an interview said that they will find some different combinations in the games ahead.

The franchise will be keen in buying David Warner and couple him with Shubman Gill in the IPL 2022.
