Jasprit Bumrah, Harshal Patel clear fitness test, to be fit for T20 World Cup 2022: Reports: In a massive boost to team India ahead of the T20 World Cup 2022, Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel have reportedly cleared the fitness test held at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and are deemed fit for the T20 World Cup 2022.
Both the right-arm pacers are now available for selection in the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 Down Under in October-November.
It is important to note that, Jasprit Bumrah, who suffered a back injury, and Harshal Patel, who endured a rib injury, missed India’s campaign in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022 owing to their respective injuries. The Men in Blue made an early exit from the Asian tournament after failing in the Super 4 stage.
“It has been learnt that the two have regained their full fitness and bowled normally at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). The two pacers are believed to have completed their rehab and are ready to make comeback,” said a report published in Cricbuzz.

As per the reports, the two pacers will feature in India’s two upcoming home T20I series against Australia and South Africa. These two series will help them get the much-needed game time ahead of the World Cup in Australia.
India will host Australia for three T20Is in late September followed by a visit of South Africa to India in September-October for three T20Is and as many ODIs.
Notably, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is also likely to announce India’s squad for the T20 World Cup 2022 in the next few days. The selectors only waited to get a fair idea of Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel’s injury and their availability.
Now as both the speedsters are fit, we can expect the Indian squad for T20 World Cup 2022 sooner than later.
