Karun Nair, Sai Sudharsan in, Shubman Gill to bat at 4 as India squad for England Tests gets leaked

The India National Cricket Team will be locking horns with England in the Test series against England National Cricket Team. The two teams will be playing against each other in the five-match Test series, which will kick start on 20th June at the Headingley in Leeds. 

The BCCI will be soon announcing the Indian squad for the Test series against England. But, as per the reports in Cricbuzz, it is learned that the squad has already been finalised, and it's just that the official confirmation needs to be made for the series. 

It is reported that Shubman Gill is all set to be named as the Test captain of the team and also there will be a new batting position for him. The right-hander will be batting at four, a place where Virat Kohli used to bat before he announced his retirement. 

Karun Nair and Sai Sudharsan, who have been going through the red hot form in domestic cricket, are all set to be included in the Indian squad for the five-match Test series. However, one of them will be making it into the XI and will be taking over the number three spot. Both have slammed truckloads of runs in the format for their state teams. 

The reports added that head coach Gautam Gambhir has indicated to KL Rahul that he needs to open the innings. Hence, the right-hander will be there at the top alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal, who has been successful as an opener in the longest format of the game. 

Sarfaraz Khan, who has been training hard in the off-season, is all set to be included in the team. While Rishabh Pant and Dhruv Jurel are two keeper-batters in the team. Along with them, Washington Sundar and Ravindra Jadeja will be two spin-bowling all-rounders and Nitish Kumar Reddy and Shardul Thakur will be there too. 

The reports added that Mohammed Shami will be dropped and the Indian pace battery will feature Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Akash Deep and Harshit Rana. Kuldeep Yadav will be the lone specialist spinner.
