Asked to bat first, RCB lost opener Parthiv Patel early for 11 runs. They suffered another blow as after a few overs they lost Akashdeep Nath as well. But skipper Virat Kohli took the matters into his own hands and played a brilliant inning under pressure.
He took the onus to himself and smashed a staggering century to help his side go past 200 runs. Kohli scored 100 runs in 58 balls with the help of 9 fours and 4 sixes. He was complimented well by Moeen Ali, who scored a quickfire 66 runs in 28 balls to help RCB post a total of 213 runs on the board. For, KKR Harry Gurney, Sunil Narine, Andre Russell and Kuldeep Yadav picked one wicket each.

Chasing the target, it was a horrendous start for KKR as they first four wickets in quick succession of time and were tumbling at 79/4. It was then that Nitish Rana and Andre Russell joined hands together and took the attack to the RCB bowlers.
They gave the opposition a real scare as they almost chased the target and won the game for their side from the jaws of defeat. Russell unfortunately was run out for 65 runs but Rana continued fighting and scored 85 runs. But he couldn’t take his side past the finishing line as RCB won the game by 10 runs. For the visitors, Dale Steyn the pick of the bowlers as he bagged 2 wickets.
