IPL 2021: KL Rahul-led Punjab Kings to fly to the UAE on 29th August for Vivo IPL 2021.
IPL 2021: Punjab Kings (PBKS) are all set to depart to the UAE on 29th August to kickstart their preparations for the Vivo IPL 2021 second half, confirms CEO Satish Menon. The team will fly with the available number of players and begin to get into the grove before the start of the IPL 2021.
PBKS and DC played the final game of the fourteenth season of the IPL before it was called off by the BCCI after multiple breaches of the bio bubble.
Satish Menon, CEO of Punjab Kings (PBKS) confirmed the development as he said that the team will be ready to board the flight towards the end of August. PBKS will begin their IPL campaign on 21st September against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Dubai International Stadium.
The newly rebranded franchise couldn’t do as much as expected, however, some players showed good signs during the matches.
CSK and DC to reach UAE at earliest:
The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Delhi Capitals (DC) have been proactive in organising their camps in the UAE prior to the tournament. The two teams have plans to arrive in the UAE as quick as possible to begin the training.
The board is yet to give clearance to the IPL franchises even though CSK and DC have applied for it one week ago.
“The date of the departure has not been finalized yet but we are planning to send the team by 13th or 14th of August. CSK will be flying to Dubai and will start our training from there,” CEO Kasi Vishwanathan told Inside Sport.
