Latest PSL Points Table 2024: A clinical show by Islamabad United at the National Stadium ensured a comprehensive victory to them against Karachi Kings, last night, in match 15 of the ongoing PSL 2024. The 7-wicket win propelled Islamabad United to fourth place as the team leapt over Karachi Kings in the latest PSL Points Table 2024.

Karachi Kings added a modest 165 runs on the board in their quota of 20 overs. Islamabad United, more or less, bowled tight lines and kept the pressure on, barring the last few overs. Owing to all-rounder Kieron Pollard’s blitz innings of 48 runs in 28 deliveries, the Kings posted 165 runs.
Earlier in the innings, Shan Masood added 27 runs to the total opening innings, followed by a 15-ball 24 run knock from the blade of Leus du Plooy and an unbeaten 27-run knock from Irfan Khan.
The chase of 165 runs wasn’t going to be a tricky one, and to simplify it further, the Islamabad United openers – Jason Roy and Alex Hales – provided a quickfire start to the innings. It would be right to say that the game was done and dusted in the first 10 overs itself.
The two openers added 108 runs for the first wicket partnership inside 10 overs. The first breakthrough came in the form of Alex Hales, who was dismissed by Hasan Ali. Hales scored 47 runs in 35 balls before getting holing out.
Meanwhile, Colin Munro continued his onslaught and kept pushing for boundaries often. He took the team’s total to 138 runs in 14.5 overs before his dismissal and by this time the win was almost secured for Islamabad United. The rest of the work was finished by Agha Salman and skipper Shabad Khan, who took their side to the win with 9 balls to spare and seven wickets in hand.
