Latest Updated IPL 2025 Points Table on 28th April After RR vs GT
IPL 2025 Points Table: In a historic night at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur, Rajasthan Royals stunned Gujarat Titans in grand style as 14-year-old prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi scripted history with a breathtaking century. Smashing a 35-ball hundred, the fastest by an Indian in IPL history, Suryavanshi’s blistering knock powered the Royals to a resounding eight-wicket win.
Rajasthan, chasing 210, crossed the finish line in just 15.5 overs, breathing new life into their 2025 campaign and setting the stage ablaze with youthful brilliance.
The match began with Gujarat Titans putting up a formidable 209/4 on the board, courtesy of a composed 77 from Shubman Gill and a powerful late assault by Jos Buttler, who remained unbeaten on 50. However, the Titans' hopes of defending the total were dashed almost instantly as the Royals’ openers came out all guns blazing.
Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi combined for a devastating 166-run opening stand, making a mockery of Gujarat’s bowling attack. Despite Gujarat’s strong showing with the bat, they found themselves completely outplayed by the Royals’ batting ferocity.
The night, however, belonged to young Vaibhav Suryavanshi. In a display of fearless stroke-play, the teenager smashed 11 sixes and 7 boundaries, racing to his maiden IPL century in just 35 balls. From the moment he launched his first six down the ground, Suryavanshi dominated the bowlers with authority far beyond his years.
His partner, Yashasvi Jaiswal, played a perfect supporting role with a classy 70 off 41 balls, blending power and timing effortlessly. Together, the two left-handers kept the scoring rate above 12 an over, crushing any hope Gujarat had of a comeback.
Despite their strong batting performance, the Gujarat Titans were left to rue their bowling collapse. Experienced campaigners like Ishant Sharma and Mohammad Siraj bore the brunt of Suryavanshi’s onslaught, with Ishant’s fourth over leaking a staggering 28 runs.
Debutant Karim Janat suffered the worst punishment, conceding 30 runs in a single over. Even Rashid Khan, usually Gujarat’s trump card, couldn’t contain the carnage, as the Royals ruthlessly dismantled the Titans’ bowling plans with aggressive intent and smart shot selection.
The result brought significant changes to the IPL 2025 points table. Rajasthan Royals, previously languishing at the bottom, climbed to 8th place, tied on points with Sunrisers Hyderabad but ahead on net run rate. Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans slipped slightly but maintained a strong position within the top four despite the heavy loss. Royal Challengers Bengaluru stayed firm at the top, with Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals close behind.
