Latest Updated IPL Points Table 2025 After GT Crushing KKR at Their Home! Check Orange Cap and Purple Cap Holders!
Updated IPL Points Table 2025: In what turned out to be a thumping display of dominance, Gujarat Titans ruthlessly outclassed Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens, handing them a 39-run defeat on their own turf. While KKR crumbled under pressure, Gujarat flexed their firepower both with the bat and ball, storming to their sixth win of the season and solidifying their throne at the top of the IPL 2025 table.
Put in to bat, GT’s opening duo of Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan laid the perfect foundation, putting on a commanding 114-run stand. Gill was the aggressor-in-chief with a blazing 90, while Sudharsan notched yet another fifty. Jos Buttler’s quickfire 41* added the finishing touches to power GT to 198.
In reply, KKR faltered early and never recovered, struggling to match GT's tempo. With spin choking the middle overs and pace cleaning up the rest, KKR limped to 159/8, falling well short of the target.
Star performers were in full flight for Gujarat. Shubman Gill’s authoritative knock and Sudharsan’s consistency at the top were crucial, while Jos Buttler’s cameo gave the Titans a late boost. With the ball, Rashid Khan and Prasidh Krishna spun a web around KKR’s batting line-up, both finishing with clinical figures of 2 for 25. Krishna’s spell in particular cemented his position at the top of the Purple Cap race, and with all those efforts, GT defeated KKR by 39 runs.
Following this resounding win, Gujarat Titans now sit comfortably at the top of the IPL 2025 points table with 12 points from 8 games and a healthy NRR of +1.104. Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Punjab Kings, and Lucknow Super Giants trail close behind in a tight mid-table race. KKR, meanwhile, dropped to seventh and are now facing an uphill climb to stay alive in the playoff contention.
