PAK vs NZ 2nd T20I: What a comeback for Mohammad Amir, what a dream debut for Abrar Ahmed, and what a day for Pakistani bowlers on the field in the 2nd T20I against New Zealand. Pakistan restrict New Zealand at 90 in the first innings.
Winning the toss, Pakistan again opted to bowl first. It was a partial-clear sky and near-perfect playing conditions, unlike the first T20I which was washed away without a result.
New Zealand got good first and second overs with Tim Seifert taking on Shaheen and Naseem but Shaheen sent him back in his 7th ball of the game. Mohammad Amir was handed the new ball replacing Naseem Shah and he picked up his first ball wicket in his comeback to the international cricket team of Pakistan. A slower one outside off and Robinson couldn't read it and found his dismissal.
Amir, then, sent Dean Foxcroft back in his second over and it was like a dream spell when you are making such a comeback to the international arena. New Zealand lost three in the powerplay in just 36 runs.
The bowler's Carnage didn't stop as the debutant also picked up two wickets in the 9th over of the innings and Pakistan were in the driving seat. Mark Chapman scored 19 runs and that was the highest individual score from the New Zealand side.
Shaheen Afridi dismissed Cole McConchie who is known for big hits but it was not meant to be his night but it was for Afridi. Shadab also picked up a couple of wickets down the order and New Zealand were stunned at just 90 runs in 18.1 overs.
