MI vs RCB IPL 2024: Possible changes in RCB & MI Playing11 Complete Detail for Match 25

Mumbai Indians will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Wankhede Stadium on April 11 in match number 25 of the TATA IPL 2024.

MI vs RCB IPL 2024: While it may not be the most sought-after game in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL), MI vs RCB is one such contest that tempts cricket fans sitting anywhere across the globe. The interests stems from the presence of two of India’s biggest players – Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. The contest [MI vs RCB] will be held on April 11 at the Wankhede Stadium, starting at 7:30 PM IST.

Mumbai Indians (MI) under the stewardship of Hardik Pandya, who has been under the public scanner for a while now, managed to get into the winning ways following three consecutive defeats at the start of the IPL 2024. MI defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) by 28 runs to find their mojo in the tournament.

Though they do have not a lot of loopholes in their team, the batting of their captain has started bothering them. Hardik Pandya, who had the charm of being a destructive batter in the death overs, has somehow lost his lost ability. He has contributed towards the team’s success with his 108 runs so far in the tournament, but a majority of them have come at a poor strike rate.

On the other side, RCB have just shown what they had done in the past. Languishing at the bottom of the IPL Points Table has been their chronic struggle.

Neither their batting has pleased anyone, nor has it been their bowling that has pulled off something miraculous so far in the IPL 2024. Barring Virat Kohli, who has been a sole contributor to the team’s overall scores, and has scored more than 300 runs already, the other big-wig players have failed to arrive at the party so far.

The runs haven’t come off the blade of captain Faf du Plessis [35, 3, 8, 19 and 44], who had a brilliant record in the past. Glenn Maxwell has again misfired [0, 3, 28, 0 and 3] and even Cameron Green, who was touted as a great move when he was traded from MI, has failed in the opportunities he got so far.

Both MI and RCB are placed in the bottom half of the IPL 2024 Points Table with one win apiece. While RCB has managed to secure a win in its five outings, MI has done that in four.

Let’s take a look at the details of the possible changes in RCB & MI Playing11, if any, for Match 25 IPL 2024:

In the MI’s lineup, there isn’t scope for any big changes that would bring up a massive difference. The team has managed to get all their bases covered so far. The team could, however, look for a spin bowling option to gain some extra edge in the middle phases of the innings.

Shams Mulani could possibly come into the side to control the game in the middle overs. Moreover, an extra bowling option becomes crucial for them as captain Hardik Pandya hasn’t bowled in the last couple of games, which isn’t a good sign.

As far as RCB is concerned, Glenn Maxwell’s string of poor scores may tempt the management to look beyond him and bring in someone like Will Jacks in the playing11. It would be a big call though, as a player like Glenn Maxwell, isn’t easy to drop.

To further strengthen their batting unit, RCB can also think of having Suyash Prabhudesai in the playing11. He can also be used as an impact substitute option, and come in when the team feels the need for it.
