Vivo IPL 2021: Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have departed for the UAE on Friday as the team prepare to begin their training camp in the country where the remaining matches of the Vivo IPL 2021 are set to be played.

The fourteenth edition of the IPL is scheduled to be held in the UAE from September 19.

The social media handle of CSK shared a picture of former Indian skipper MS Dhoni with his suitcase, captioned, “Get ready folks!,” as the team departed for Dubai.

The Chennai based IPL franchise has done tremendously well in the first half of the IPL 2021 making a strong statement despite having a humiliating last season. CSK is placed second in the points table with five wins from seven matches.

Earlier in the day, Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians (MI) also boarded their flights for the UAE with the limited players and staff they had. Defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) will meet Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the tournament opener in Dubai on September 19.

Mumbai had a mixed first phase of the IPL where they went on to win four matches out of seven they played. MI is placed fourth in the points table after Delhi Capitals (DC), Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

Also, the Indian cricket board has decided to show more faith towards the Bubble Integrity Officers as the contact tracing devices have been removed from the setup of the IPL 2021 matches. The officers will carry out the necessary contact tracing if any player tests covid positive during the season.

Moreover, the rules and regulations this time are stricter as compared to those of last season. A 46-page health advisory has been laid down in order to have smooth conduct of the matches and all the officials as well as the players, support staff will have to abide by them.
