Indian Cricket team

The Indian cricket team had a horrible time during the recently concluded ODI series against Sri Lanka. They started the series as favorites to win, but they couldn’t get over the line in one single match. The Sri Lankan spinners were all over Indian batters and dominated throughout the series.

Sri Lanka ended up winning it by 2-0. This was the first time that India lost a bilateral series in Sri Lanka since 1997. Thus, it has raised questions about India’s preparation for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025. There aren’t many ODIs for the players to prepare.

So it will be a tough call for Gautam Gambhir and management to pick and build the Indian cricket team for the upcoming mega event in Pakistan. But when is the next ODI series for the Indian cricket team?

Indian Cricket Team will now play an ODI series against England in February 2025

After a disappointing performance in the Sri Lanka ODIs, the Indian fans are looking to mark the date of the next ODI series for India. But despite having a packed schedule, India will only play three ODIs more before the Champions Trophy 2025, which is a surprise for many. So, will the Indian cricket team get sufficient time to prepare? Only time will tell.

But we will discuss here about the next ODI series for the Indian cricket team. The Men in Blue have a 40-day break now as their next assignment will be a home series against Bangladesh, starting on September 19 for two tests and three T20Is. After that, India will host New Zealand for three tests between October 16 and November 5.

It will be followed by four T20Is in South Africa before heading to Australia for a five-match Test series between November 22 and January 7. After that, India will host England for five T20Is and three ODIs. That will be India’s last international assignment ahead of the Champions Trophy 2025.

That means the Indian cricket team will be playing their next ODI series at home against England, which will start on February 6, which is six months from now. The three ODIs will be played in Nagpur, Cuttack, and Ahmedabad on February 6, 9, and 12, respectively. So, there is a long wait for the fans to watch India play an ODI series.
