NZ vs UAE 2023: New Zealand won the T2OI series against UAE by 2-1 after defeating them in Third T20I by 32 runs: The third and final T20I match between New Zealand and the UAE was played on August 20, 2023, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.

New Zealand won the three-match T20I series against the UAE 2-1. New Zealand won the first match by 19 runs, the UAE won the second match by five wickets, and New Zealand won the third match by 32 runs.

The New Zealand bowlers were the key to their success, taking 20 wickets in the three matches. Tim Southee was the pick of the bowlers, taking seven wickets at an average of 12.85.

The UAE batters struggled against the New Zealand bowlers, scoring only 134 runs in the third match. Muhammad Waseem was the top scorer for the UAE, with 46 runs.

New Zealand’s innings:

New Zealand came to bat first, and they had a decent start as Will Young scored 56 runs off 46 balls. Mark Chapman also played a good inning of 51 runs in 32 balls, and they led New Zealand to score 166 runs on the scoreboard in 20 overs.

Chapman was the star of the New Zealand innings, scoring the runs at a strike rate of 159.38. He knocked five fours and two sixes in his innings. Will Young also played a good hand and scored 56 runs at a strike rate of 121.74.

The UAE bowlers were led by Junaid Siddique, who took three wickets for 26 runs. Zahoor Khan and Muhammad Jawad Ullah took one wicket each.

UAE’s innings:

The UAE got off to a poor start in their chase and lost a couple of wickets in the powerplay. Aayan Afzal Khan scored 42 runs, but the rest of the batsmen didn’t play well, so they failed to chase the target.

New Zealand bowlers showed excellent cricket and restricted UAE to 134/8 in 20 overs. Benjamin Lister was the pick of New Zealand in this match as he took three wickets.
