PAK vs AUS, Pakistan announces a strong test squad for the Australia tour, Shan Masood to lead the team | Pakistan vs Australia Test 2023: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announces a 18 members squad for the test series against Australia. The Newly appointed Chief Selector Wahab Riaz revealed the test squad.
The Test series between Pakistan and Australia is scheduled from December 14, 2023 to January 7, 2024. There will be a total of three matches played between the teams in this series. All the matches will start from 5:00 PM (IST) and it will be exciting to watch both the teams playing test cricket.
Shan Masood will be the new captain of the Pakistan Men’s Cricket Team as Babar Azam resigned after the poor performance of the team in the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023. Pakistan played nine matches and they were able to win only four games whereas they lost the remaining games.
The Three match Test series between Pakistan and Australia is very important for the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 Cycle as the series winning team will occupy the top position in the WTC Points Table.
Currently, Pakistan is leading the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 Points Table as they occupied the first position with 24 points and PCT of 100. Team India is present at second position in the WTC 2023-25 Points Table with 16 points and PCT of 66.67 whereas Australia is at third with 18 points and PCT of 30.00.

Saim Ayub gets a maiden call for Pakistan’s test team in the upcoming series against Australia. Saim Ayub is a left handed opening batsman, who gave an exceptional performance in Pakistan Super Leagues (PSL) 2023. He is expected to play the first test match against Australia on December 14, 2023.
Khurram Shahzad, a fast bowler also got a maiden call in the test squad for the Australia tour. Khurram Shahzad performed wonderfully in the Quaid-e-Azam trophy as he was the leading wicket-taker of the tournament.
