PAK vs ENG: 2 Changes Pakistan might make for the 3rd T20I against England; Check Out For Full Details

PAK vs ENG 3rd T20I: England are one-up in the four-match T20I series after two matches. Not-so-convincing bowling at the top and later on struggling to build up a partnership in the middle overs, Pakistan were never in the game in the second T20I. In this post, we predict 2 Changes Pakistan might make for the 3rd T20I against England.

England were at the top of the game from the first innings. Shaheen Afridi didn’t get a wicket early on even after the swing was available on the surface. Imad Wasim drew the first wicket of England and then there was a big partnership in the middle.

Imad Wasim and Haris Rauf were the two bowlers who looked in control. Shadab Khan was totally off-color at Edgbaston where he leaked as many as 55 runs in 4 overs and was wicketless. Haris Rauf, Shaheen, and Mohammad Amir bowled with an economy of over 8.50 per over which is decent in a T20 game.

While batting, they lost two wickets early on. Babar and Zaman got a few runs at the top, and Iftikhar and Imad took charge in the middle overs. It seemed they were lacking in one more batting option.

Now, both remaining T20Is will be important for Pakistan to check all the boxes correctly. The third T20I will be played on 28th May at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff where the pitches are more bowling-friendly.

Below are the Full Squads, and possible Changes Pakistan might make of PAK vs ENG 3rd T20I:

  • Naseem Shah IN for Mohammad Amir?

Naseem Shah and Shaheen Shan

Both Shaheen and Mohammad Amir are similar kinds of bowlers. Left-armed, can swing the new ball, and specialized in hitting good areas in the first spell. Adding up Naseem Shah in the run adds up a new ability to the bowling line up. He is a hit-the-deck-hard bowler who can produce seam movement with the new ball and good bounce from the old ball.

Additionally, he is an excellent death bowler and he can party with Haris Rauf in the death. Pakistan might take him into the playing 11 for the two important matches up next.

  • Agha Salman IN for Shadab Khan?

Shadab Khan has not been at his best since the Ireland tour. He is leaking too many runs, not finding the ball with the bat and more. Pakistan’s middle order needs a player who can stabilize and give some contribution with the bat so Agha Salman is the only remaining option for them.

He can also bowl a couple of overs with Iftikhar Ahmed to give the four overs and he will be very beneficial for Pakistan in the two matches.
