PAK vs ENG: The third clash between Pakistan and England in the ongoing Pakistan tour of England 2024 is set to be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. The two sides will lock horns for the 3rd T20I at the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff.
Pakistan are already 1-down in the four-game T20I series after losing the second fixture in Birmingham on May 25. Meanwhile, the first game of the PAK vs ENG series was washed out with rain playing the spoilsport.
England handed a 23-run defeat to Pakistan in the 2nd T20I held a few days ago. Led by Jos Buttler, England clutched the contest with ease and restricted the visitors to 160 runs against a total of 183 runs.
With just two more games remaining in the series, Pakistan currently stands in a do-or-die situation. The series will be done and dusted if Pakistan loses the 3rd T20I, however, it will remain alive if the result is reversed.
Let’s take a look at Sophia Gardens Cardiff Pitch Report & Weather Forecast for Pakistan vs England 3rd T20I:
PAK vs ENG: Sophia Gardens Cardiff Pitch Report
The English surfaces generally aid the pacers more than the spinners. The surfaces have even bounce and carry along with movement early on in the innings. Sophia Gardens in Cardiff will behave on similar lines as well. The Pacers will get decent seam movement, which will go away as the game progresses.
The spinners generally do not have much of a say in the game due to the wet nature of the wicket. It doesn’t get dry, which keeps spinners out of it.
The pitch will remain true throughout the contest, which will insist the teams look to chase the total instead of setting it in first place.
