T20 World Cup 2024: Well known Cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle has announced his predicted squad of Pakistan’s Men’s National Cricket team for the upcoming 2024 T20 World Cup. His selections consist of a balanced mixture of emerging youngsters and experienced players, forming a well balanced team with an equal amount of bowling and batting strength.
Bhogle’s squad consists of the likes of skipper Babar Azam and wicketkeeper batter Mohammad Rizwan, two key players in the batting unit of the Shaheens. Along with them, the team also features hard hitting batters such as Usman Khan, Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub. Azam Khan, known for his hard hitting abilities and wicket keeping skills, is also a part of Harsha’s squad, providing additional depth to the middle order.
In terms of the all rounders, key players Shadab Khan and Iftikhar Ahmed have been picked by Harsha in the team. They both can contribute immensely with both the bat and the ball. Left arm Spin bowling all rounder Imad Wasim has found a place in the 62 year old’s squad for the Shaheens and he brings a lot of experience and versatility to the team.
Talking about the bowling unit, Bhogle has opted for a mixture of spin and seam bowling. Left arm fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi is the leader of the bowling unit, supported by the duo of Naseem Shah and Mohammad Amir. The selections of Zaman Khan and Haris Rauf provide depth and strength to the pace bowling unit, while Abrar Ahmed has been chosen as the proper spinner by Harsha Bhogle.
Bhogle went on to praise the versatility of Pakistan’s squad and said, “ Pakistan has a pretty versatile bunch of players at their disposal and they have the option of fielding a variety of different combinations according to the situation of the game. The flexibility of this team is seen as one of their key strength going into the 2024 T20 World Cup.”
