Pakistan insulted big time as Aakash Chopra names his current combined India-Pakistan XI
Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra has picked his current combed India-Pakistan XI after the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 clash between the teams. What caught the attention of many was he insulted the Mohammad Rizwan-led side as he didn't name a single player for their team.
Aakash Chopra went on to pick all the Indian players, who featured in the XI against Pakistan in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The two teams were engaged in a high-octane clash at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Sunday (23rd February).
India had a great outing in the game against Pakistan. The Rohit Sharma-led beat the opposition by 6 wickets and marked their second straight win of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. This also allowed them to move one step ahead and reach into the semi-final.
Indian bowlers and batters were right on the money as they first restricted Pakistan to a total of 241 runs and then chased the target with ease. Virat Kohli slammed a magnificent century while Shreyas Iyer hit a fifty and Shubman Gill also chipped in as India won easily.
Aakash Chopra, in his XI, picked Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma to open the innings with Virat Kohli at three. Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul will be handling the middle order in the Combined India-Pakistan XI from the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
The Indian spin trio of Axar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav, who had a great outing against Pakistan, also feature in Aakash Chopra's XI. He also didn't pick a single Pakistani pacer in his team and instead went with Mohammed Shami and Harshit Rana.
