Asia Cup without Pakistan?

Pakistan set to Travel to India For World Cup 2023? Babar drops a few hints: Two significant tournaments, the Cricket World Cup and the Asia Cup are scheduled to take place in 2023 for men’s cricket. India and Pakistan, two cricketing powerhouses, may or may not compete in both of these competitions. The World Cup will be held in India, while the Asia Cup will be held in Pakistan.

As per some rumors around, Pakistan will host the Asia Cup 2023 but India won’t travel to Pakistan. So all the fixtures of India will be played at UAE. The two sides have avoided each other in bilateral series as a consequence of the strained political ties between India and Pakistan. The last bilateral series was played in 2012–13, and the last Test game between the two countries was played in 2007

The current controversy developed after BCCI Secretary Jay Shah stated that India would not travel to Pak for the Asia Cup and insisted that the competition be held in a neutral venue. The notion was not well received by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), who threatened to withdraw from the 2023 Cricket World Cup.

Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, has said that the squad would go to India for the competition. Azam hinted that his team would actually compete in the competition in India by saying that their full attention is on the event.

He was found quoting to GEO News, “We are focused on the World Cup in India and will try to put up a good show during the tournament. I will try to score runs alongside Mohammad Rizwan since we have a good combination at the top.”

“But having said that it is not possible to score in every inning which is why it is important not to depend on only two players in the team.”

He further added, “However, we also have other players in the team who are eager to play a match-winning role for the team on the field.”

The confusion surrounding India and Pakistan’s participation in these competitions has alarmed cricket fans all around the world. The Asia Cup and the Cricket World Cup are thought of as the two most important events in the men’s cricket calendar, so the cricketing community is looking for a favorable resolution to the problem.

In conclusion, there is currently a debate about India and Pakistan’s participation in the forthcoming Asia Cup and Cricket World Cup. As Pakistan has threatened to pull out of the Cricket World Cup, the BCCI has requested for the Asia Cup to be held in a neutral location. For supporters everywhere, Babar Azam’s recent remarks offer a glimmer of hope, but uncertainty still exists.
