ICC ODI Rankings: Pakistan skipper Babar Azam on Wednesday jumped over Indian skipper Virat Kohli in the latest announced Men’s ICC ODI Rankings. Babar Azam with 865 Rating points after a good South Africa series is at number 1 in the Men’s ODI Rankings.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli before that held the throne for 41 straight months which is 1258 days before dropping to second place. Kohli is now sitting at number 2 with 857 rating points while his Indian teammate Rohit Sharma drops to number 3 with 825 points in the recently released ICC Men’s ODI Rankings.
Babar Azam remained the highest run-scorer in the recent three games ODI series against South Africa. In the three ODI games, the right-handed cricketer scored 228 runs with the highest score of 103.
The 26-years old cricketer attained his highest rating numbers in the recent ODI series against South Africa, while he is ranked sixth in the Test rankings and third in the T20Is.
Longest Streak of ICC Number 1 ODI Batter:
Virat Kohli had the third-longest streak as the World’s number 1 ODI cricketer for 1258 days from August 2017 to April 2021. West Indies former Legend Viv Richards held the number one throne for mammoth 1748 days while Australian former star Michael Bevan stayed for 1259 days.
