Vivo IPL 2021: Pandya brothers, Suryakumar joins Mumbai Indians post India triumph in Pune.
Vivo IPL 2021: The all-rounder brothers duo and Suryakumar Yadav has joined Mumbai Indians on Monday for the forthcoming season of the Indian Premier League. The three cricketers were involved in India’s triumph against England last night in Pune.
Team India wrapped the home season with a clean sweep of England in all three formats in India. The hosts won the four games Test series by 3-1, won the T20I series by 3-2 and now to end the tour won the ODI leg by 2-1 in the series decider.
Suryakumar Yadav was added to India’s ODI squad however he was not named in the final playing 11 while Krunal Pandya made his debut in the series.
Mumbai Indians Twitter handle posted a video of three Indian cricketers arriving in Mumbai post the ODI series.
None of the cricketers will have to undergo mandatory seven days quarantine protocol as they have preferred bubble-to-bubble transfer. They have joined the franchise bubble and will train for the 14th edition of IPL.
“Firstly, really happy and very proud to represent India. It was always my dream to play for the country. It feels great, and I was really happy to be part of such an amazing unit,” Suryakumar said in the video.
“And now, that role is over, and I am back to my Mumbai Indians family. Looking ahead to unbelievable times ahead,” he added.
Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma will lock horns with Virat Kohli in the tournament opener on 09th April in Chennai. The fans will be excited to watch both of them performing for their sides after seeing their friendship bond in the Indian outfit.
