PCB imposes heavy fines on 7 BIG PLAYERS including Saim Ayub, and Salman Agha for violating discipline, 3.3 million rupees docked
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has taken a strong step towards the 7 key players of the team. As per the reports in the Pakistan team, it is learned a fine of 3.3 million rupees was imposed on players from the Multan Test against England last October to the South Africa series.
The PCB has imposed bans on the players for violating discipline. All-rounder Aamer Jamal has faced the highest ban of approximately 1.4 million rupees. This was because he wrote "804" on his cap during one of the Test matches that he played.
Apart from Aamer Jamal, young players Salman Ali Agha, Saim Ayub, and Abdullah Shafique also faced massive fines. The young players returned late to the hotel during the Australia tour and were fined 500,000 rupees each. Not only them but three more players were fined by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
During the South Africa tour, Sufyan Muqeem, Usman Khan, Abbas Afridi, and some fast bowlers were fined 200 dollars each for being two minutes late returning to the hotel at night. But, it didn't cost them much as the fine that was imposed on them was given back to them as a reward for winning the ODI series.
PCB has been very strict on their players because of their indiscipline
For the last few months, PCB has been very strict on their players because of their indiscipline. The step taken by the management surely would've sent a strong message to the other players of the team, especially with the New Zealand tour around the corner.
Pakistan now are all set to lock horns with New Zealand in the white-ball series. The two teams will be playing against each other in the five-match T20I series followed by the three-match ODI series. After the horrible show in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the series will mark a new era for the team.
Pakistan, in the T20Is, has named a completely different team. A lot of youngsters have been given opportunities while big names in Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have been dropped. But they have retained their place in the ODIs.
